Just 15 miles outside the  metro Detroit area (Inkster, MI) Low Simmons’ journey into music was sparked by the golden age of MTV and Hip Hop. At just 10 years old, his creativity flourished through breakdancing and beatboxing. But it was his older brother, Ron Dynamite’s DJ setup in their grandparents’ basement, that truly ignited his passion.

Low ruined more than a few records. But those early experiments were the foundation for a lifelong love of music.

 

Today, DJ Low is a figure in Detroit’s scene from Resident DJ at MGM Grand Detroit Axis Lounge or Cruising on the Decks of The Detroit Princess Riverboat.  His impressive résumé includes major events like Big Sean’s “Don Weekend” and corporate gigs for Fortune 500 companies such as Ford Motor Company and Foot Locker.
